An unidentified woman has come forward with graphic details alleging that T.J. Miller sexually assaulted her when they were both students at George Washington University.
T.J., who is best known for his roles in Silicon Valley, Deadpool and Office Christmas Party, released a statement with his wife, Kate, to The Daily Beast denying the allegations that the victim has apparently been talking about for a while.
She “began again to circulate rumours online once [my and Kate’s] relationship became public. Sadly she is now using the current climate to bandwagon and launch these false accusations again,” T.J. and his wife wrote to the publication. “It is unfortunate that she is choosing this route as it undermines the important movement to make women feel safe coming forward about legitimate claims against real known predators.”
For the sake of the explanation, Daily Beast is calling the victim Sarah.
Sarah says that when the two were in university, T.J. "just tried a lot of things without" asking her. She then details a time she invited T.J. into her room where he began choking her. “We started to fool around, and very early in that, he put his hands around my throat and closed them, and I couldn’t breathe,” she recalled. She explained how she was "genuinely terrified and completely surprised."
She also said her roommates at the time heard her choking and banged on the door where she told them she would talk in the morning. After she closed the door, she detailed what happened next: “He anally penetrated me without my consent, which I actually believe at that point I cried out, like, ‘No,’ and he didn’t continue to do that—but he also had a [beer] bottle with him the entire time. He used the bottle at one point to penetrate me without my consent.”
