It all depends on how seriously you take the claim.

Tyler, The Creator's tendency to make pretty, melodic music has always been a part of his personality as an artist, but it's never been more visible and refined than on 2017's Flower Boy. The rapper has made everything from dark, lo-fi horrorcore to free-jazz experiments, but he's taken a turn towards the accessible on his latest compositions, could a full-on pop album be the next step?

Tyler briefly changed his bio from "november is over," to "im making a pop album" Monday, as Pigeons and Planes points out. However, it's impossible to know how seriously to take the claim. 5 years ago, there was no reason to take anything Tyler "I am a couch," The Creator put on Twitter too seriously, but these days, he's definitely a little more sincere.

As usual, fans had varying takes on the news.

Flower Boy was one of our Top 50 favorite albums of the year. It has been nominated for Rap Album Of The Year at the 2018 Grammys. Could a Pop nom be in Tyler's future?
