Snoop Lion has had peoples interest over the past few months with the tranformation from gangster rapper to peace activisits. Continuing his peaceful path, Snoop Lion has joined forces with Tony Bennett on a new campaign aimed to end gun violence in the streets.
Tony Bennett launched a new campaign titled "Voices Against Violence", with his son/manager Danny Bennett and the Brady Campaign for the Prevention Of Gun Violence. Joining them yesterday (May 1st) was Snoop Lion after Snoop tweeted a picture of the two meeting one another and talking about the project. Snoop told Bennett he hopes to use his music as a platform for broader ideas. Back in March, Snoop also stated,
"One of [the solutions] is doing what I’m doing: correcting my mistakes by being a better person and putting out more energy and more music that represents what we’re going through as opposed to what we went through,”.
It can be seen that Snoop is definitely trying to make a difference with his latest release "No Guns Allowed" featuring Drake and his daughter Cori B. The message of the track gel perfectly with his new campaign by solidifying Snoop's mission to be more than just a music artist.
