On Mamba night, Kendrick Lamar unveils his upcoming Nike Cortez sneaker.

Back in August, Kendrick Lamar announced that he inked a partnership deal with Nike for an exclusive Nike Cortez, a shoe in which he’s been spotted rocking several times throughout his career, including at this Summer’s Coachella festival. Since the announcement was made however, not much has been unveiled on the upcoming shoe, until Monday night thankfully.

Out of nowhere, Kendrick took to both Instagram & Twitter to share a first look at his upcoming Nike Cortez sneaker, and boy are they fire. Dipped in candy red, the Cortez shoe features the words “Don’t Trip” running down the front of the laces, while a Chinese embroidered lettering appears on the forefoot of the shoes (possibly for a play off his “Kung Fu Kenny” alter ego). You might also notice K. Dot tagged himself at the Staples Center, where Kobe Bryant's jersey retirement ceremony is taking place at Monday night.

It’s not yet clear when a release will go down or how much these Cortez's will cost, but earlier reports suggest that a drop could occur sometime this month, but that can't be confirmed.

This isn’t Kendrick Lamar’s first exclusive sneaker either. Back in 2014, he partnered with Reebok for an exclusive drop, but already these Cortez's are getting more hype than those Reeboks.

We’ll continue to keep you posted on the latest info on the sneaker drop moving forward. In the meantime, check out K. Dot’s post (below) and let us know what you think. You copping these or nah?
