On Thursday, Hot 97 teamed up with Boost Mobile to throw a mini festival in Harlem to announce the lineup for this years Summer Jam Festival. This marks the 20th year Hot 97 has hosted Summer Jam, starting back in 1993. In honor of the biggest hip-hop festival in the world, DJ Enuff hosted a four hour pop-up shop in front of the Adam Clayton Powell State Office Plaza in Harlem, New York.
At the same time, Angie Martinez hosted the announcement show at Hot 97’s radio studio. The show was live streamed in the Boost Mobile tent as prizes such as phones and tickets for Summer Jam were given away. At around 4 o’clock, Martinez, Funk Master Flex, Mister Cee and other Hot 97 personalities announced this years lineup.
Smoke DZA, Astro The Astronomical Kid and French Montana were a few of the artists in attendance at the Pop-Up show. View some exclusive photos of the event in the gallery above.
In case you forgot, Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, French Montana, ASAP Rocky, Miguel, and the Wu-Tang Clan are just a few of the acts performing on the main stage this year. Not to mention that Action Bronson, Kid Ink and Joey Bada$$, among others will be hitting up the HNHH-sponsored Festival Village Stage.
