It was only a few weeks a go when Ma$e dropped his scathing diss track towards Cam'ron, "The Oracle." It was one of the most notable pieces of work we received from Ma$e in a long time but it was also the beginning of his official come back into the rap game. It was an interesting time to come out considering the night before he released the diss track, The Diplomats had their reunion show in New York City. While the little beef he had with Cam'ron would last about a weekend, it was still the beginning of Ma$e's return. Since then, he's made more media appearances on the radio and otherwise. Today, he made a pit stop at DJ Cosmic Kev's radio show where he kicked a mean freestyle.
Ma$e hit up Cosmic Kev today where he delivered a menacing eight minute freestyle. The rapper tackled an older beat as well as a more recent one and effortlessly kicked some dope bars on it. Ma$e takes on Jay-Z's "Do It Again," before diving into Nicki Minaj's "Truffle Butter." He kicks off his freestyle with shout outs to some of Philly's elite emcees including AR-Ab, Gillie Da Kid and Beanie Siegel. It's a dope freestyle that continues to solidify why Ma$e is a highly underrated emcee.
Aside from his most recent freestyle, he recently dropped off a new track with Diddy and DJ Khaled called "Rap Rushmore." With the influx of appearances and music he's dropping, hopefully this is a sign that we get a new project from him in the new year.
