Ahead of the Big Apple return of the Grammy Awards later this winter, several big-name artists will be touching in the city that never sleeps in order to give fans some intimate concert experiences that fans won't soon forget. Among them are two giants of the hip-hop genre, Eminem and Childish Gambino.
According to Rolling Stone, the Citi Sound Vault shows, which was being supported by Live Nation, will take place from January 24th to 28th at the Manhattan venue. Those wishing to get tickets need to be Citi cardmembers, as those are the only customers who will have access. Alongside the two rappers, acts like 30 Seconds to Mars, The National, Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds will all be gracing the venue's stage at some point that week.
Eminem's show has been confirmed for January 25th, while Gambino's is slotted in for the 27th. The former, who has been booked at massive music festivals like Coachella and Boston Calling, will have a chance to deliver his Revival material in a much smaller setting, with the venue's capacity hovering around 1,000 people. Surely those who are lucky to see the Michigan legend will be in for some classic cuts as well, but it will be interesting to see how his new material holds up in such a scenario.
Citi cardholders can register for tickets for the five aforementioned shows here, though space was limited at the time of this writing. As a primer for the biggest awards night in the music industry, these artists should be able to prepare fans in a stirring way for the telecast that is to come.
