Tomorrow is going to be a very busy day for hip-hop fans. Cardi B will be dropping her highly anticipated debut album Invasion of Privacy, which is sure to dominate the conversation. Additionally, Famous Dex is gearing up to release his own debut, Dex Meets Dexter. As such, it's already going to be a crowded day for rap releases, and Flatbush Zombies have been going the extra mile to ensure that they're not left out of the conversation.
They've already dropped an emotional, 27-minute-long, documentary about their rise to fame and their aims for the future. They've also spit a killer freestyle on Funkmaster Flex's show.
Most rappers would consider that enough, but the zombies are back yet again with a new short film, Vacation The-Movie. The three zombies are sitting at a diner, lamenting their misfortune for sharing the same release date as Cardi, and pondering how to make people listen to their album. Every time they come up with a new suggestion, we're treated to a short preview of a music video for one of their new songs.
The video has some special celebrity guests too. Erick Arc Elliott is lambasted by Lin-Manuel Miranda for not being woke enough to rock his dreads, Zombie Juice gets advice from a pimptastic Ice-T, and Meechy Darko gets roasted by actor John Leguizamo.
The whole video is good fun and shows off some interesting visuals. Hopefully we'll be treated to the full versions of some of these videos once the Flatbush Zombies' Vacation In Hell is released tomorrow.
