Friday, April 13th will mark the two-year anniversary of Kobe Bryant's last game in the NBA aka "Mamba Day," in which he dropped 60 points on the Utah Jazz in front of a sold out crowd at Staples Center.
In celebration of the upcoming "Mamba Day," Nike basketball has plans to release multiple sneakers in honor of Kobe Bryant, including this black and gold Nike Kobe 1 Protro.
The special edition kicks, which were recently worn on the court by Toronto Raptors All-Star shooting guard DeMar DeRozan, features the date printed on the right heel as well as custom insoles. Additionally, the "Mamba Day" Kobe 1 Protro includes “XX” on the lace fixtures, as a nod to Kobe Bryant's 20 years with the Los Angeles Lakers.
The shoes are officially slated to launch on Mamba Day, April 13th, for the retail price of $175.
