The Phoenix Suns are looking to trade veteran point guard Eric Bledsoe and while there are reportedly several teams interested, they've yet to strike a deal because of the Suns' asking price.
According to Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders, the Denver Nuggets have discussed a potential trade with Phoenix centered around Emmanuel Mudiay. Additionally, the Milwaukee Bucks are another team in the running, according to Marc Stein of the New York Times.
ESPN's Ian Begley says the Suns have also reached out to the New York Knicks about a deal involving their rookie point guard Frank Ntilikina, as well as their young center Willy Hernangomez, but that the Knicks are opposed to dealing either player for Bledsoe.
The problem is, Phoenix has little leverage after Bledsoe tweeted, "I dont wanna be here" earlier this week. Not to mention, on Monday, Suns general manager Ryan McDonough told reporters that Bledsoe had been sent home.
According to ESPN's Chris Haynes, McDonough told reporters, "[He] won't be with us going forward."
Per ESPN,
"He said he was at a hair salon," McDonough told reporters. "It wasn't about the Suns or anything related to the Suns. He said he was at a hair salon with his girl and that he didn't wanna be there anymore.
"I don't believe that to be true. We thought about it and talked about it with [owner] Robert [Sarver] and my staff and Coach Triano and his staff and decided it's what's best for the organization."
Phoenix picked up their first win of the season last night, a 117-115 victory over the Kings, without Eric Bledsoe in the lineup.
The Suns, minus Bledsoe, will take on the Utah Jazz at home tomorrow night.
