The Cranberries singer Dolores O'Riordan has passed away.

Dolores O'Riordan, whom you might recognize as the singer of The Cranberries, has passed away at the age of 46. According to her publicist, the Irish singer died in London, with no confirmation as to how. CNN reports that the publicist claimed the singer died "suddenly," but details have yet to be released. Apparently, O'Riordan was in London for a recording session. The Cranberries were best known for their hits "Linger" and "Zombie," which was recently sampled on Eminem's Revival track "In Your Head."

Since their rise to fame in the mid-nineties, The Cranberries have gone on to sell over forty million albums worldwide. Riordan actually dropped a solo album called "Are You Listening?" in 2007, and eventually reunited with The Cranberries two years later. In 2017, the band released an acoustic album called "Something Else," which featured unplugged versions of their biggest hits.

The band was actually supposed to tour Europe and North America last year, but some shows were cancelled due to O'Riordan's ongoing back problems, according to the band. For now, The Cranberries have released a statement on her passing, expressing that her family have requested privacy in the wake of this tragic news. Even if you aren't familiar with her music, you've probably heard "Zombie" at least once. Rest in peace, Dolores O'Riordan.
