Trae The Truth comes through this Friday with a follow-up to his March album drop, Hometown Hero. The Houston-bred rapper shows off his love for ballin' trucks and gold chains while rapping about always being real no matter your circumstance in the "I Got It On Me" video.
Trae has always been an advocate for the place that raised him, which is why the homie has always given back to Texas. He made serious efforts to assist when Hurrican Harvey devasted the area and more recently he teamed up with the Waffle House Hero to help the families that were victim to a naked man opening gunfire and killing four.
"My respect level for him is of the utmost because when it would have taken others the time to debate, and probably end up doing nothing, he moved for what he felt was right, and he not only risked himself," Trae said of James Shaw Jr., the man who wrestled the shooter. "He risked the fact that he may never come home to his baby or his family again to try and help others."
