Michael Christmas is from Boston so, naturally, he is not a fan of the Los Angeles Lakers. However, "ball like a Celtic" just doesn't sound the same as "ball like a Laker." Referencing one of the greatest franchises in basketball history, Christmas shouts out the majority of the Ball family with LaVar, Lonzo and LiAngelo all getting their shine on the rapper's new track "Ball." Produced by Thelonious Martin and Aniko Thomas, "Ball" has a larger-than-life feel with large production value throughout the track.
As he preps his upcoming album Role Model, "Ball" is a good indicator of what to expect on the project. Tons of lyrical ability, clever wordplay, and good music is the standard for Michael Christmas these days. Role Model will be available June 22.
Quotable Lyrics:
I came back to pick my mans up
Plan to jump another planet
God let me ball, God let me
Andre The Giant, chokeslam the rap game
I'm so damn defiant 'cause I'm getting high
And I'm not being violent
