His actual birthday is today (October 24th), but that didn't stop Drake from getting the party started in style beforehand to celebrate turning 31 years old.
According to CBC, the Canadian rapper threw himself a lavish party in Toronto over the weekend that had an Andy Warhol theme. With a guest list comprised of family and close friends only, the celebration went down at Casa Loma, a posh spot in the Six. The evening began with his attendance at a Toronto Raptors home game, where he enjoyed his usual courtside seats and even joined the national TV broadcast of the game for a few minutes. Raptors players Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan were also in attendance later on at a special dinner that was had at Casa Loma's fancy new BlueBlood Steakhouse.
Also on hand to ring in another birthday with the rap sensation were members of Drake's family, who sat with him during the dinner portion of the evening and also stayed around to enjoy the party atmosphere well into the night. Several members of the emcee's entourage were in attendance, as well as some other OVO luminaries like dvsn, whose new album Morning After has garnered no small amount of critical acclaim thus far. Drake's parents made their way to the party and posed for pictures throughout the night, with his dad Dennis looking every bit the boss that led him to getting his own music video not too long ago. In terms of the swag factor, there's no secret as to where Drake gets it from.

The festivities continued last night in Los Angeles for Drake's 31st, with a special "re-Bar Mitzvah" shindig on the docket to honor the rap mogul. With a massive crowd on hand, those in attendance sang a rousing version of "Happy Birthday" to the music superstar, cheers erupting at the end of the song.
Celebrities like Lamar Odom and Jamie Foxx had to fight just to get into the door of the club where the action was going down, while names like Rae Sremmurd's Swae Lee, G-Eazy, Justin Combs, Jordan Clarkson, Leo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire were already on the guest list. Drizzy even got the ladies in the place to give it up for his pops, who was in the building as well. Without a doubt, it was a night to remember.
Happy 31st to the Six God!
