Dreamville's Cozz dropped off his underrated Effected earlier this year, and continues to earn mileage from the project. Today, the rapper has dropped off another video from the album, this time for the Garren-assisted "Bout It." Throughout the Breno Wallace-directed clip's loose narrative, Cozz plays the role of musical guest on a fictitious talk-show, holding it down during the taping session; judging from the audience feedback, his words seem to be having a profound effect, particularly on the females in attendence.
Eventually, Cozz' performance proves too "hip" for one irate executive, who pulls the plug on the rapper's performance. Given the relatively laid-back nature of the song, it seems as if the executive is most probably offended by anything even remotely resembling the word "urban." Luckily, the diplomacy of Garren ensures that those of importance (IE, the pretty girls working behind the scenes) can catch a live performance anytime they so choose.
Peep the Effected visuals now, and sound off. Are ya'll feeling Cozz?
