GoldLink blesses "The Tonight Show" with a nice rendition of "Crew."

GoldLink has been killing it this year, and it's largely in part to his breakout single "Crew." The platinum track, which features Brent Faiyaz and Shy Glizzy, has amassed over forty-five million views on Youtube, and that's only a fraction of the track's extensive reach. It's clear that the accomplishment of the single meant a lot to GoldLink, and when it officially went platinum he posted a celebratory message on his Instagram, saying "Black men for the win. Crew is officially Platinum as of today and I couldn't have done it without the RCA family and the fans. Ima be clapping the fuck down in Brooklyn tonight to celebrate." And while "Crew" is certainly proving to have some longevity, people are still sleeping on the rest of his At What Cost album.

Still, if you have a massive single, why not play it until you've exhausted all mileage? The rapper recently hit up Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show for a performance of "Crew," bringing along Shy Glizzy and Brent Faiayz for the ride. Not to mention, one of the added benefits of a Tonight Show performance is an appearance from The Roots, and this rendition of "Crew" is no exception. And let's be honest, a little bit of Questlove never hurt anybody.

The performance is pretty cool, especially as all three rappers keep the backing tracks to a minimum. There's a raw feel about it, and GoldLink makes use of a custom mic, which is EQ'd to make his voice sound like he's spitting through a telephone. For some relative newcomers, GoldLink and his crew move like some veterans, and they're definitely continuing to make some noise. Now, the true test is seeing how he comes through with a follow-up single, because "Crew" certainly set the bar high. Check out video of the performance below.
