Nebu Kiniza hasn't released a project since 2014, but he's continued to release singles on SoundCloud. "By My Side" is yet another track that puts Nebu over his own production, opting for a simple earworm and hypnotic synths to make for a track that feels instantly familiar and lived in. His deceptively strong singing voice is vulnerable and emotive throughout, giving the song a depth beyond its catchy exterior. According to Nebu, it came from an emotional place. "I’m Feeling Very Emotional So I Am Going 2 Drop A New Today Called “By My Side” It’s Kinda Like An “All Good” Pt.2 Hope You Enjoy," he wrote on Twitter. If you didn't catch it at the time, "All Good" was a 2015 self-produced record that was one of the rapper's first songs to really break through (it was the first one posted on this site).
