Mariah Carey is a transcendent musical talent whose vast repertoire of hits have claimed international plaudits. The songstress has two of the most successful Billboard singles of all time, alongside an arsenal of multi-platinum albums. Moreover, Carey's singular persona has helped her carve out a distinct niche within the music industry, one that is driven by confidence and a self-awareness.
Thus, it is no surprise that the "We Belong Together" singer will be headlining her own Vegas residency, The Butterfly Returns, to commence on July 5 at Caesars Palace. Carey wrapped up her another miniature hits showcase aptly titled #1 in September 2016, but is having another go at a more expansive production.
Taking to Twitter, the indomitable diva notes how she's "thrilled to be returning to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace with a BRAND NEW residency, THE BUTTERFLY RETURNS, beginning July 5th!"
Carey previously discussed her affinity for performing in Las Vegas, as it gives her a chance to spend more time with twins Monroe and Moroccan. "They have to understand sometimes when I go to work, they're like, 'I don't want you to go to work! Stay home! Don't go to work!' and then I feel guilt-ridden, but it's all right." She then adds how her children "love it in Vegas. They're always asking about it."
The singer will additionally travel across Oceania and Asia, bringing her #1 show to international audiences.
