The Jacksonville Jaguars are going to the AFC Championship game. After that, they're going to the Super Bowl. And they're going to win that bitch.
That's the way Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey sees things playing out, anyway.
After the Jaguars' 45-42 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field yesterday afternoon, Ramsey and his teammates returned to EverBank Field in Jacksonville where they were greeted by fans at a post-game rally.
That's when the second-year star defensive back made his bold prediction.
“I ain’t got too much to say, but y’all make sure y’all bring out that same energy next week and the week after,” he told the Jacksonville crowd during a postgame rally at EverBank Field. “We’re going to the Super Bowl, and we’re going to win that bitch.”
Ramsey, who was selected to his first Pro Bowl this season and was a first-team All-Pro, is fully aware that his Super Bowl guarantee is absolutely meaningless if he and his teammates don't go out there next Sunday with that same energy they did against Pittsburgh.
After yesterday's win, Ramsey addressed comments made by Steelers' safety Mike Mitchell, who had guaranteed an AFC championship victory over the Pats before they even took on the Jaguars.
Ramsey said, per ESPN,
"Talking is cool. You can do all the talking you want on Twitter, to the media, all of that, but when you get on the field, you're going to have produce. You're going to have to show us what you're really about. We're confident because we know the work we put in. We know the blessings the Lord has given us. We're going to go out here confident. We're going to go out there swagged up."
The Jaguars will take on the Patriots in New England on Sunday, January 21st at 3:05pm ET with a trip to Super Bowl LII on the line. That game will air on CBS.
