Sorry Charlie Kessler, you're not going down without a fight.

The accusations surrounding the Duffer Brothers stealing the idea for their hit Netflix series Stranger Things has left them to respond calling bullshit on all of it. Ross and Matt Duffer's lawyer has spoken on the matter and calls the lawsuit filed by Charlie Kessler “completely meritless” and “just an attempt to profit.”

“He had no connection to the creation or development of Stranger Things. The Duffer Brothers have neither seen Mr. Kessler’s short film nor discussed any project with him. This is just an attempt to profit from other people’s creativity and hard work," Alex Kohner tells Deadline.

The response on the matter is a quick follow-up considering Charlie only filed the lawsuit yesterday. As we recently posted, the filmmaker claimed he pitched his short film Montauk to the brothers where he never heard anything back. Charlie was reportedly shocked when Stranger Things was released in 2016 with the same “script, ideas, story and film."

According to the publication, Montauk's storyline followed a missing young boy, a military base conducting experiments on children and a monster from another dimension that resembled a toy.

Season three is currently in the works and the cast is said to have received a serious pay raise
