"Mighty River" grew in popularity thanks to Mary J. Blige's soulful performance.

Mary J. Blige's Oscar appearance last weekend may not have awarded her with a golden trophy, but her performance of "Mighty River" gave her something else. Her performance made the song boost in popularity, Billboard reports, soaring to 20,000 audio streams on March 4th, as compared to 5,000 on March 3rd.

Mary was nominated alongside her "Mighty River" songwriters, Raphael Saadiq and Taura Stinso, for Best Original Song in the film Mudbound that she also stars in.

“It feels really good to be recognized, with all these nominations, because it shows that someone recognizes my hard work and the dedication and the time and how serious I’m taking this craft,” Mary previously said about her nomination, via The Los Angeles Times. “That means a lot because I never wanted to take this lightly, [and] I didn’t want people to look at me like I didn’t take it seriously — because you have the Queen Latifahs and the Tarajis [P. Henson] and the Angela Bassetts and the Viola Davises, who worked really hard to pave the way for us. I really want them to be proud of me as well.”
