It's been an interesting year for Tay-K to say the least. The rapper's made a huge wave on the internet with "The Race" and had everyone from Lil Yachty to Adrien Broner remix the track. Unfortunately, he's only been able to hear about all of his success behind bars. Nonetheless, it seems that regardless of what charges that are held against him, he's still seems pretty optimistic. That being said, he has officially signed himself a record deal.
Tay-K has officially penned a deal with 88 Classic. The rapper was speculated to have signed a deal with RCA but that was shut down. After re-releasing his #SantanaWorldEP this morning on J Grand's 88 Classic, it became official. The project came with two new remixes including Maxo Kream's assist on "I Love My Choppa" and the official "The Race" remix featuring 21 Savage and his cousin Young Nudy. The label is run by J Grand who's also the Senior Vice President of A&R and Marketing at RCA Records.
Despite the news of his signing, Tay-K is still facing some serious charges. At the beginning on October, the rapper faced a second murder charge with new information emerging pertaining to the first one he was accused of. In addition, even at 17 years old, he will also be tried as an adult for the murder case.
At this point, Tay-K hasn't been able to enjoy any part of his success. "The Race" was created while he was on the run and blew up after he was caught.
