D-Wade meets with students returning to school at Stoneman Douglass HS.

Dwyane Wade paid a visit to Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School today to meet with students as they returned to school for the first full day of classes since the tragic shooting. The Miami Heat guard posed for photos, hung out with the students and praised them all for the strength they've shown.

During a speech in front of a group of students in the hallway, Wade spoke about how they have all inspired him and how proud he is to live in Florida. Check out some of the footage below.

Since the tragedy, Dwyane Wade has written the name of Joaquin Oliver on his shoes before games, in honor of one of the 17 victims who died in the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Oliver was buried in a Dwyane Wade Miami Heat jersey last month and the 36-year old shooting guard has continued to pay tribute to him and others who were effected.

Per ESPN:

"From the standpoint of away from the game of basketball, as I continue saying, just understanding how important we are as professionals," Wade said. "And for me, it's just giving whatever I can to people who believe in me, and especially people who were happy about me coming back here [after the trade from the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier this month] who embrace me the way that I only can dream of with me coming back home. So just paying some due respect to [Oliver] and his family tonight."
