It's the night before Revival's official release, and people are already split about the album. Suffice it to say, the war between Stans, fans, and haters will no doubt wage long through the night. And while Em has admittedly taken some of his previous criticism to heart, there are many who feel as if Revival is still deserving of praise. Either way, Em is poised to be making moves in 2018, having previously announced his first North American tour since 2014. Today, he continues his press run (though Revival is pretty much blowing up right now) by hitting BBC's Radio 1 for a performance, joined by Mr. Porter, Alchemist, and Skylar Grey.
Backed by a live band, the rapper performs Recovery cuts "Won't Back Down" and "Love The Way You Lie," as well as Marshall Mathers LP 2's leading single "Berzerk." Marshall and Denaun bring a solid dose of energy to the set, and while some might criticize the gravitation toward "rock-rap," the live instrumentation does add some welcome intensity to the performance. Speaking of which, it doesn't seem as if Em has lost a step on the stage, and his upcoming tour should be an enjoyable experience for any fan. Check out the three videos below, and remember, Revival officially drops at midnight tonight, featuring "Walk On Water," "Untouchable" and more.
Apparently, "River" with Ed Sheeran is looking like the album's next single. If you've heard the album, do you feel like that's the right choice?
