Former NFL wide receiver Terry Glenn has reportedly passed away after being involved in a car accident in Texas, according to multiple reports. ESPN states that a medical examiner's office confirmed Glenn, 43, died at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas early Monday morning.
According to TMZ Sports, Glenn was involved in a single-car accident early Monday morning and was ejected from the vehicle. By the time officials responded to the crash site, he had already passed and was pronounced dead upon arrival.
His fiancee was in the passenger seat during the accident but she survived the crash and is currently being treated at the ICU of a local hospital.
Glenn played with the New England Patriots his first six seasons, after being drafted by the team seventh overall in the first round of the 1996 NFL Draft. He was traded to the Green Bay Packers in 2002, and joined the Dallas Cowboys a year later where he played another five seasons before retiring.
In total, Terry Glenn played in the NFL for 12 seasons, including a Pro Bowl year with the New England Patriots in 1999, and finished his career with 593 catches for 8,823 yards and 44 touchdowns.
He is survived by his five children.
