Tempers flared during a Saturday night tilt between the Golden State Warriors and the Memphis Grizzlies, resulting in two of the league's best players getting tossed from the game.

As per Bleacher Report, both Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant were ejected from last night's NBA game, which ultimately resulted in the Warriors losing 111-101 to the Grizzlies, for arguing with the referees. The defeat drops the defending champs to 1-2 through the first three games of the season.

Curry was supposedly given the heave-ho after "going off" on a ref, with Durant suffering a similar fate because he cursed out officials for calls he thought were, shall we say, borderline at the very least. ESPN's Chris Hayes and Grizzlies' beat reporter Jon Roser noted as much in separate tweets, which you can see below.

According to Roser, Curry also threw his mouthpiece at one of the referees on the court, a move that has drawn similar ire from other officials in recent years in the NBA. Apparently, Curry was upset about a non-call in the fourth quarter, when the game was hanging in the balance. When asked about the ejections after the game, Dubs head coach Steve Kerr responded with sarcasm by saying that they each deserved to be suspended 10 games. He's just kidding everyone.

Draymond Green echoed similar emotions during the post-game media scrum, calling the actions of his teammates something that has been a detriment to their previous winning ways. Both Curry and Durant are not known for getting tossed during games.

The entire Warriors squad was reportedly ragging on the referees for not calling what they thought were obvious fouls against the Grizzlies on more than one occasion during the game. It will be interesting to see not only what the league has in store of either Curry or Durant as overarching punishment, if any, but also how the team plans to bounce back. After blowing a huge lead in their first game of the season to the Houston Rockets, this latest bump in the road is something that the Dubs will have to collectively overcome in the early stages of this 2017-18 NBA campaign.
