Positive update on injured Packers WR Davante Adams.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams is reportedly doing OK and "everything looks positive" according to Packers head coach Mike McCarthy. Adams was carted off the field during the third quarter of Green Bay's win over the Chicago Bears last night, after a brutal helmet to helmet hit courtesy of Bears linebacker Danny Trevathan.

Adams, who scored a touchdown earlier in the game, was taken to a local hospital to be evaluated for head and neck injuries, but he was conscious with feeling and movement in all his extremities. He was able to give the Lambeau field crowd an encouraging thumbs up as he was carted off the field.

Trevathan was penalized for the ugly hit and apologized after the game, but he should still be looking at a fine and possibly a suspension.

After the game, Trevathan told reporters, per Packers.com,

“You never wish that on nobody,” Trevathan said. “My main concern is that he’s OK.”

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers also gave Trevathan the benefit of the doubt, saying he doesn't believe the helmet to helmet hit was intentional.

“I trust when Danny said he wasn’t intentionally trying to hit him like that,” Rodgers said. “He is one of the hardest-hitting players in the NFL. He made a hit on one of our guys last year in the hole that was one of the hardest hits I’ve ever heard.

“But I don’t think he was intentionally trying to hurt ’Tae.”

Green Bay went on to win last night's game 35-14, improving to 3-1 on the season, while the Bears dropped to 1-3.
