Although the name Roc Marciano may not be known in the mainstream, the indie artist is making waves underground, and will soon be making even bigger waves with his new position as VP & Director of A&R for the indie label Man Bites Dog Records.
The Long Island native is already known as an emcee and producer, and has taken on yet another role for the Man Bites Dog label. The label will be releasing Roc's upcoming project, Marci Beaucoup, later this year, and also has the Eddie B. and Harry Fraud collaborative project, Horsepower, in the pipeline, as well as Illogic & Blockhead's Capture The Sun.
The Man Bites Dog C.E.O. spoke on the addition to the team, citing why Roc is a good look for the company, "I think having Roc as an owner and an adviser to the label is a smart investment for both brand. He is very savvy with how he brands himself, and that's something we can really learn from." Ryan also said that we can count on plenty more features from Roc on future label releases.
In his new position, Roc will be trusted with finding new talent, providing guidance for new artists as well as helping with the marketing.
Look out for Marci Beaucoup this year.
