Looks like Vic Mensa is gearing up for new music drops as he recently hopped on Twitter to gauge his fans thoughts on the possibility of a collaborative effort between himself and DJ Drama, and, as expected, the general public’s sentiment was a resounding yes.
“I know y’all love the freestyles,” he penned out, “Maybe I should do a tape with @DJDRAMA…what y’all think?”
What followed was a slew of responses from fans who were more than eager to see a project like this come to fruition.

The last time we got a full-length effort from the Chicago-reared emcee was his The Autobiography debut studio album. Naturally, the 13-track project, executive produced by No I.D., was Vic’s biggest release to date, peeking on the Billboard Hot 200 at No. 27. As far as mixtapes are concerned, Innanetape was the last project labeled as such, dropping back in 2013.
As for DJ Drama, Since 2016’s Quality Street Music 2, his most exciting developments music-wise include the latest installments of his Gangsta Grillz mixtapes, featuring Lil Baby’s Harder Than Hard and 24hrs’ 12 AM In Atlanta, and of course his teaser of Lil Wayne’s forthcoming Dedication 6 after posting an image on Snapchat of an airport gate labeled “D6.”
“New Orleans. It was only right!!!! Soon....."he captioned. So far, Drama hasn’t yet chimed in on Vic’s tweets.
