French Montana sat down with Revolt TV over Grammy weekend to share his opinions regarding the award show snubbing his hit single "Unforgettable" for the ceremony, his current single "Famous" and a reaction to the arrest of the people responsible for murdering his close friend and Coke Boys Records label-mate, Chinx.
French explains that he is happy for Chinx's family that they now have closure regarding his 2015 death. Chinx was fatally shot in 2015 in his hometown of Queens, New York. The years following his death have been filled with questions regarding his murder and French has honoured the late rapper in his music ever since. French states that for Chinx's mother, wife and family to know what happened to their loved one after years of information being up in the air is what is most important about the new information.
In the interview, the Moroccan New Yorker also touches on the amazing success of his 2017 single "Unforgettable" with Swae Lee, and his surprise that it did not receive any Grammy nominations. The 5-time platinum song in the States was a song of the summer and the sole radio single off of Jungle Rules.
