With their new album on the horizon, Flatbush Zombies hit up Funkmaster Flex for a savage freestyle. Is it crazy to deem Meechy Darko one of the best rappers out right now? He wastes little time in making a strong case, setting it off and absolutely obliterating the classic "Oochie Wally" instrumental. His baritone growl may be strange to some, but it remains one of the most emotive and versatile voices in the game; the man is genuinely reminiscent of Pac at times, blending harrowing tales of street life with lyrical braggadocio and occasional hedonistic comedy. For nearly four minutes straight, Meech goes in, spitting bars like "beat the beat like Adrian Peterson beat his seed, her head is so good that I invested in a guillotine, this is Meech, sixty deep, crabs in a bucket killed my brother just to hit my peak."
Erick Arc Elliot is next up, opting to go in over Pharoahe Monch's menacing "Simon Says" instrumental. More composed than the animated, animalistic Meech, Elliot tackles the aggressive beat with a confident poise; the stylistic contrast between the trifecta is what makes them one of the more dynamic and refreshing groups out. "What I'm supposed to do, you n***s to emotional, I'm not even a sane man, I just look approachable," he raps, before passing the mic to Zombie Juice for the finishing blow.
"Self proclaimed ain't the same you just in your feelings, been the same how ya'll changed look up in the mirror," raps Juice, over "Dipset Anthem". "I ain't playin' n***a, this ain't Fortnite, punch you in your face muthafucka I'm spittin all night." We're okay with that.
