Smith jailed after domestic violence incident.

Less than 24 hours after being released by the Oakland Raiders, troubled pass-rusher Aldon Smith turned himself in to San Francisco police and he's currently being held on $30,000 bond, according to ESPN.

Smith, 28, was allegedly involved in a domestic violence incident involving his fiancee over the weekend in San Francisco, but he fled the scene through a window before cops arrived, according to TMZ Sports. Smith's fiancée told TMZ that her parents had taken the former All-Pro to a rehab facility at his request, but today he turned himself in.

He is now facing misdemeanor charges of willful infliction of corporal injury, assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury, false imprisonment and vandalism (less than $400).

Smith's fiancee and those close to him have expressed concern that he won't be alive much longer if he continues with his addiction and doesn't get help.

"I'm scared for his life with his addiction," she said, per TMZ Sports. "I cannot comment on the altercation but I can tell you I love him and so happy he turned to my family who considers him family and hopefully he gets the help he truly needs."

"I'm worried for him. I'm worried for his safety," one source close to Smith tells TMZ Sports.

"He's an alcoholic. It's not about football anymore. We're hoping this is rock bottom for him."

After being drafted by the San Francisco 49ers seventh overall in the 2011 NFL Draft, Smith has had a number of off-the-field issues, including several DUI arrests and a weapons charge. Smith played nine games for the Raiders in 2015 but was suspended for a year on November 17, 2015, and the NFL has yet to reinstate him. His contract with the Raiders was set to expire on March 14, but his rights would have remained with Oakland if he was reinstated by the NFL.

According to ESPN, the talented pass rusher has 47.5 career sacks, with 33.5 of them coming in his first two seasons with the 49ers which included a first-team All-Pro season in 2012.
