On Friday, rumors started circulating online that youtube sensation Jake Paul, who currently sits with 11 million subscribers on YT, has inked a deal with Atlantic Records. The news first was announced by fellow YT personality Keemstar on Twitter, who said the deal could be worth millions.
“We have a source that says @jakepaul signed a multi-Million dollar deal with @AtlanticRecords!” Keemstar tweeted out, before DJ Akademiks later posted it on his own IG page.
While this story hasn't been confirmed, the possibility of this Atlantic deal being real is high. Hell, over the past couple months, Atlantic has signed both Cardi B & Cash Me Outside girl Bhad Bhabie, who both got their breaks thanks to they social media following. And now with Billboard taking account streams on Youtube, it would make sense for the top dogs with millions of followers to hit big records sales solely based off their following.
Aside from that, Jake Paul was recently spotted hanging out with ATL rapper 21 Savage a couple weeks ago driving around in a foreign whip, before being seen in the studio with Gucci Mane, where the two cooked up some new music together.
“Hey man shout out all the Jake Pauler's out there. It's from Guwop.” Gucci said before Jake added.. “I don't think they’re ready for this track though.” Gucci would go onto reply with “This song right here is a hit. Listen if y’all sleeping on Jake Paul y’al finna know. Im talkin’ ‘bout we got a banger,” he says.
It’s unclear at the moment if the record will see life on an upcoming project from Jake Paul or not, but it kinds seems that way especially if this Atlantic deal is true.
