Saturday evening [November 18], UCLA and USC faced off in a rivalry match that put on display an impeccable amount resolve from both squads. While the traditional faceoff was dubbed a "battle for Los Angeles," the spotlight mainly fell on the matchup between both teams' quarterbacks, USC's Sam Darnold and UCLA's Josh Rosen in a game that was reportedly host to at least 20 NFL scouts for teams that include the Cowboys, Patriots, Saints, and Giants (who may very well have their pick at a top-five QB in the 2018 draft) just to name a few.
USC was pegged as the obvious favorite for this game after having such a successful run in comparison to a less-than-stellar season on UCLA's end, and ultimately claimed a victory despite a few mistakes that could have meant an unfavorable outcome.
Despite a loss, however, Josh Rosen, still came out a winner in the subset of a match taking place on Saturday as he managed to outperform Darnold, nabbing 32 of 52 passes for 421 yards in comparison to Rosen, who went 17 of 28 for 264 yards. Where Darnold locked down three touchdowns, and one interception, Rosen managed one rushing touchdown and one interception.
Naturally, the game was an exciting one and Twitter had plenty to say. Check out some of Twitter's best reactions to the Bruins' loss to the Trojans.
