Young Chop talks about moving past his former beef with Pusha T and recording "Blocka", and says he is now working on Pusha's solo LP.

One of the most sought after up and coming producers is the producer of "I Don't Like", Young Chop.  Back in May, he and Pusha T exchanged jabs on Twitter after Chop took exception to a line on T's diss track "Exodus 23:1".  Now the two have seemingly moved past their differences, and collaborated on the hit single "Blocka", and various other tracks.  The young producer talks about their recording process, and how they have used their musical compatibility to move past their differences.

In an interview with XXL, Young Chop discusses his recording process and says he is not comfortable with just sending rappers beats and prefers to work with them in the studio, "I don’t send beats to no artists. I gotta get in the studio with you...I like to make something fresh on the spot for you."

Pusha T has some upcoming solo projects, including his Wraith Of 'Caine mixtape, which features the track "Blocka" along with G.O.O.D. Music partner Travi$ Scott.  Young Chop reveals that he originally had intended the track for Scott, but then heard what Pusha put down, and ever since they have been working together, including Chop dropping some beats for the Clipse rapper's solo album.  "I gave the beat to Travi$ Scott a minute ago in New York and then he put the hook down and then he gave it to Pusha," the producer continues, "we were in the studio together and he started playing me the song and I’m like, “Dang, that’s it.”"

It seems the two did not feel the need to even address their past tension, and just focused on making music, "I’m working on his album too. He’s a cool dude though. We didn’t even have a conversation about our [past beef], we just started making music."
