Houston Texans rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson donated his first ever game check to three women who work in the NRG Stadium cafeteria and who were affected by the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey.
Watson, who has a base salary of $465,000, donated $27,353.
"For what you all do for us every day and never complain, I really appreciate you all, so I wanted to give my first game check to y'all to help y'all out in some type of way," Watson tells the women in a video shared by the Houston Texans. "Here you guys go."

Back in 2006, Watson and his family were the recipients of a brand new home built by Habitat for Humanity, courtesy of former Atlanta Falcons running back, Warrick Dunn.
Watson was selected by the Houston Texans with the 12th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft and has started all three games for the Texans (1-2) this season. In Week 3, Watson nearly did the impossible and led the Texans to a road victory over Tom Brady and the defending champion New England Patriots, but a late game-winning drive by Brady gave the Pats a 36-33 victory.
Still, Texans fans have plenty to be excited about moving forward with Watson as their franchise QB, if not for his incredible talent on the field for his character and willingness to help others in the community during such a tough time. Watson and his Texans teammates, specifically defensive end JJ Watt, have played an intrical part in helping the city of Houston and the surrounding areas heal in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.
Watson, Watt and the rest of the Texans will return to NRG Stadium in Houston this weekend for a matchup against the division rival Tennessee Titans on Sunday at 1pm.
