Trey Songz might be a ladies man but he's definitely had his fair share of legal issues with them over the years. The singer was recently accused of assaulting a woman during NBA All-Star Weekend. She's since taken legal action against Songz for the alleged assault but now, her lawyer wants Songz to stay as far away as possible from her client.
Lisa Bloom, attorney for the accuser, has asked the judge on behalf of her client to place a restraining order on Trey Songz, TMZ reports. The singer was accused of choking and striking a woman to the point where she suffered several bruises. The request for a restraining order is due to the fact that the victim works at several L.A. nightclub that Songz frequents. She says she's scared of him.
Trey's lawyer, Shawn Holley, says that Songz hasn't attempted to reach out to her since the alleged incident. "Trey has not spoken with Ms. Buera nor has he attempted to speak with her since the night of the gathering." Meanwhile, several people who are close to the singer says the victim has attempted to contact friends of Trey but no one's reponded.
His lawyer also claims some people who witnessed the situation have combated her claim.
Lisa Bloom also spoke on the scenario. She said that they're attempting to file the restraining order so she could work peacefully.
"We are taking this step today to protect my client's right to peacefully live and work, and we will continue to fully cooperate with law enforcement's investigation of this serious matter," she said, "We are asking just one of them with a conscience to reach out to us and tell us what they saw."
Songz is current on probation after he plead guilty to 2 misdemeanors following a fiasco at a concert where he essentially demolished the venue.
