Junglepussy stayed loyal to producers that helped her institute her distinctive sound. JP3 is the rapper's first dalliance since her sophomore album Pregnant with Success. Her last album took a defiant stand against gender roles and expectations. Junglepussy reentered a male-centric domain with ideals completely her own.
As in previous albums, JP3 is fully representative of Caribbean influences and her occupancy in New York. Although she doesn't fit the typecast of a New York Rapper, she owes her welcome presence to the city's accessible charm. JP3 is more ambitious than her previous works on collaborative level. On "Long Way Home" she shows courage by stepping into the gauntlet with a living legend. Gangsta Boo cheekily asks "Why you wanna take the shorter ride," when you have it like this.
JP3 also features guest spots from Rico Love, Wiki, and Quiñ. Rico Love apprises her role as an instigator."Get Down" sees both rappers explore an overtly sexuality side. Junglepussy rightly teases rap fans who are completely mistaken with her name and identity. They are the folks who never make it to Thanksgiving. JP3 is something they will discover in their own time.
