Back in March, a woman named Xian Bass shared a photo of her and Miguel on Instagram with a caption that detailed how the singer pulled her breasts out of her shirt and looked at her "with such a disgusting look on" his face.
There wasn't much media attention on the claims but TMZ did approach the singer where he said, "People are really looking for attention in the wrong ways. In this age, I guess, you just gotta be more aware of how things can be and how things can be spun.”
The "Skywalker" artist is Spin's latest feature story where the publication had a chance to also speak to Xian. She said she received death threats and hate mail when she first came out with the allegations against Miguel, detailing how she went to the police who ultimately told her “other women have to come forward" before any action can be taken against him.
Miguel responded to the allegations where he simply stated:
"I felt I had already addressed how bizarre and twisted this accusation was when I was asked about it in March. Her story of what transpired is not accurate and the accusation is unfair and unwarranted."
Xian explained how she didn't want to file the report "because black lives matter.”
“I [didn’t] want to because I do not want to put another brown man in jail. I [didn’t] want to because I [didn’t] want to be re-traumatized by going to law enforcement," she said. "However, yes, I did. I didn’t want to, but I do know that for other people who may have been abused or assaulted or whatever, maybe this will help them as well.”
