You may not have been familiar with the name BlocBoy JB before yesterday, but the Memphis rapper made quite the introduction to many on Friday when he dropped off a new single with Drake called “Look Alive.” The rapper had initially built a nice steady buzz for himself in Memphis over the past year thanks to songs like “Rover” & “Shoot,” which ended up becoming a dance sensation on social media in the recent months. However way you look at it though, the rapper got the attention of Drake, who jumped on a record on with him, and it appears that’s just the beginning too.
On Friday night, 21 savage’s photographer, John Canon, shared a picture of 21 in the studio with Blocboy JB and Metro Boomin. The picture shows the three artists staring at the computer screen in the studio, apparently looking something over. However its pretty ironic that BlocBoy is in the chair looking like he’s constructing something on the computer and Metro is standing up behind watching like a rapper, but that could be sheer coincidence or timing.
There’s no details or anything to go along with the picture, but it does paint the picture that a collab is on the way.
Check out the IG post (below) and revisit Blocboy’s new single wth Drake right here if you haven't done so already.
