Michael Rapaport has gone on many diatribes against LaVar Ball and the Big Baller Brand, dating back to before the NBA season ever started. So when the Lakers visited Madison Square Garden last night, and with the whole Ball family in the Big Apple, you knew Rapaport was going to be on guard.
Rapaport, a native New Yorker and diehard Knicks fan, called out Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball for wearing an "Illmatic" sweatshirt with his face superimposed over Nas' as he strolled into MSG prior to last night's game - which the Knicks win in overtime 113-109.
As Mike Rap is one to do, he went on a rant about Lonzo and the Big Baller Brand as a whole, including LiAngelo and LaMelo, who he advised to "check out the shoplifting laws" in Lithuania before they hit the town. LaMelo is of course heading to Lithuania to play professional hoops with his older brother LiAngelo this season.
Early this morning, LaMelo responded to the video via twitter.
Naturally, Rapaport wasn't going to let 16-year old LaMelo get the last word.
