Over the last couple of months, Chapo Banz has quietly been making waves for himself as he enters a loaded rap game. Proving that he can offer something that his contemporaries cannot, the 18-year-old is preparing his upcoming Tokyo Love EP with the intentions of wowing his fanbase. In advance of the project, he has released his brand new single "Tokyo." Showing that he has an ear for melody, Chapo's hook will stay in your head for the rest of the day. His heavily auto-tuned vocals are in line with the majority of trap music today, building off of a sound his influences Lil Uzi Vert and Smokepurpp have capitalized on.
The rapper has a unique sound, offering a summery feel with "Tokyo" as it seems like a perfect song to blast in the whip with the windows down. The St. Louis native has a lot up his sleeves and he is definitely somebody to keep an eye on for the remainder of the year. Stay tuned for his upcoming Tokyo Love EP, which is currently in the works.
Quotable Lyrics:
Got the drip on overload
Money long like Pinnochio
Fell asleep in L.A.
Woke up in Tokyo
Man I'm gone off the antidote
Shawty ride like a rodeo
