More bad news coming Chris Brown's way. The singer's latest scandal involves a car crash with the paparazzi, as TMZ reports.
Chris Brown's car was totaled today after an alleged hit-and-run with the paparazzi, a representative for the celebrity says. The rep says that Breezy was driving his car, on his way to a charity event, when two vehicles cut him off. The singer's rep claims, "the occupants jumped out, with cameras, and aggressively approached his vehicle. In an effort to remove himself from the situation, he began to back down an alley at which point he was cut off by two additional vehicles."
The rep confirms that Chris is okay, but his car suffered damage- "Chris' vehicle was totaled due to this agressive pursuit by the paparazzi. He is okay."
The Beverly Hills police have confirmed that an incident did occur between Brown and some paparazzi, however they would not provide additional details.
[Update: Paparazzi Deny Causing Accident]
TMZ reports that Chris Doherty, the owner of the photo agency that both paparazzi drivers worked for, claims that they "had nothing to do with Chris Brown crashing." According to Doherty the crash occurred before his employees even arrived on the scene. "No photographers were following him at the time he crashed ... He crashed his car and it’s convenient for him to blame us. He needs to be careful with his defamatory statements." he said.
He also claims that upon being interviewed by the police, the Beverly Hills PD "appeared to be satisfied" that the paparazzi had not caused the crash.
The police department has refused to comment beyond their statement released yesterday.
"On February 9, 2013 at approximately 1203pm, entertainer Chris Brown was involved in a solo, non-injury traffic collision in the 600 Block Bedford Drive/Camden Drive alley. Mr. Brown was the driver of the vehicle and collided with a wall. Brown stated that he was being chased by paparazzi causing him to lose control of his vehicle. Brown's Black Porsche was towed from the scene at his request."
This would not be the first time Chris' story differed from others on the scene.
