Chance The Rapper will be the first unsigned artist to host Saturday Night Live that airs tomorrow, November 18th.
In a newly released interview where Chance pays a visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon before his big debut, the 24-year-old talks a number of topics from Drake to never meeting Eminem and writing with Donald Glover, A.K.A Childish Gambino.
At the top of the video Jimmy brings up a tweet that Chance sent out just yesterday that reads:
When asked about his public Drake love Chance replies:
"It's the truth, I love Drake. I think we live in a time where people are ashamed to say how much they love Drake or enjoy what he does, and I'm totally rebelling against that. I just wanna say, shout out to Drake and your whole team. Shout out to Future, everybody. Great people."
As for his upcoming SNL gig, he teases his appearance by revealing that three of his sketch ideas have will appear on the episode and gives credit to Donald for helping him bring them together. "I actually wrote five [sketches]," he explains. "I came here with five. You know, I'm a huge fan of the show and I know that when they bring guest hosts, they usually come with a few ideas at least, especially if they're into comedy, so I brought a few sketches by. One of them that made it, I actually gotta give credit to my good friend Donald Glover, who helped me with the idea. He's a great dude, as well."
Last but not least, Slim Shady comes up in topic where Chance admits that even though he's opened for Em in the past he's never met him. "I am a huge, huge fan," he says, before revealing that he will be meeting for the first time as Eminem will be the performing while he hosts SNL tomorrow night.
