2 Chainz, T.I., Killer Mike & more celebrate the Democratic victory for Doug Jones in Alabama.

On Tuesday night, Democrat Doug Jones, a widely respected former U.S. attorney, narrowly defeated Republican & alleged pedophile Roy Moore in Alabama's Senate election. The victory makes Jones the first Democrat to be elected to the United States Senate in Alabama in 25 years, which is a big deal because it could help swing the Republicans control of the senate next year.

The Alabama Secretary of State reported Jones with 49.92 percent of the vote, and Moore with 48.38 percent of the vote. "This entire race has been about dignity and respect," Jones said in his victory speech. "This campaign has been about the rule of law.”

Since this news was announced, several notable hip hop artists have voiced their excitement & opinion over the upset victory, including 2 Chainz, Big Boi, Killer Mike, & T.I. In fact, President Trump decided to chime in and congratulate Mr. Jones as well, even though he wanted Moore to win.

“Congratulations to Doug Jones on a hard fought victory. The write-in votes played a very big factor, but a win is a win. The people of Alabama are great, and the Republicans will have another shot at this seat in a very short period of time. It never ends!” he wrote.
