Last night in Oakland, California, Kevin Durant became the second youngest player in NBA history to reach the 20,000 point milestone, at 29 years and 109 days old. Only LeBron James (28 years, 17 days) accomplished the feat quicker.

Durant became the eighth active player to reach the milestone, joining Dirk Nowitzki, LeBron, Carmelo Anthony, Vince Carter, Dwyane Wade, Pau Gasol and Joe Johnson. In total, 44 players in NBA history have scored more than 20,000 points.

KD scored his 20,000th career point with 1:41 remaining in the second quarter and finished with 40 points on the night but he was out shined by Lou Williams, who poured in a game-high 50 points, including 27 in the third quarter alone, in the Clippers' 125-106 victory.

"He ordered 50-piece nuggets on us tonight," Durant quipped, per ESPN. "Lou got it going."

For his career, Durant has averaged at least 25 points per game in 10 seasons, with the lone exception being his rookie year when he averaged 20.3. This season, his 11th in the NBA, KD is averaging 26.3 per night.

Durant will pass Antawn Jamison for 43rd on the NBA's All-Time scoring list with 43 more points. The Warriors next matchup is against the Bucks in Milwaukee tomorrow night, followed by a trip to Toronto on Saturday.

The defending champs will travel to Cleveland on Monday, January 15th for their second and final meeting of the regular season against the Cavs. That much anticipated game will air on TNT at 8pm ET.
