Fortnite is one of the most popular games in the world right now. The battle royale styled game is easy for gamers and non-gamers alike to pick up and play because of its easy gameplay and addictive game modes. Developer and publisher Epic Games offered the game for an invite-only mode to iPhone users early this year, and now, the game is fully open to iOS 11 users. The invite-only version of the game was so popular, that it amassed $1.5 million in just three days. Fortnite's Twitter account announced the good news on Monday (April 2).
The mobile game is available for download in the app store for Apple users that own iPhones 6S' or later, iPad mini 4's or later, and iPad Air 2's or later, as long as they are running iOS 11. The download is free, which means that iPhone servers will most likely be struggling to keep up today as half the nation downloads the mobile game. Mobile players will be able to play cross-platform with their friends on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or PC. Hopefully, we'll get to see Drake and Travis Scott hop back on the game for a live stream on Twitch soon.
