DeAndre' Bembry arrested for driving 128 mph in a 55-mph zone.

Atlanta Hawks small forward DeAndre' Bembry was reportedly arrested early Friday morning in Atlanta for allegedly driving 128 mph on an Atlanta interstate, according to multiple reports.

Atlanta police officer Donald Hannah told The Atlanta Journal Constitution that Bembry was charged with reckless driving and speeding after his purple Dodge Charger was stopped for speeding in a 55-mph zone on Interstate 85 shortly after midnight.

According to TMZ Sports, Bembry was clocked at 128 mph and was apparently drag racing when cops bagged him.

"Both vehicles were changing lanes and appeared to be racing each other as they traveled on I-85 approaching the Buford Highway exit at speeds visually estimated to be close to 150 mph in a 55-mph speed limit zone."

"The officer was not able to obtain an exact speed on the first vehicle."

"Using his speed detection device, the officer was able to determine the second vehicle was traveling at 128 mph.  The officer then observed the vehicle suddenly slow down and change lanes to exit the expressway utilizing the Buford Highway exit lane."

The 23-year old forward, who was a first round pick by the Hawks in 2016, has not played since December 22nd due to a groin injury. In 18 games this season, Bembry is averaging just 4.8 points and 2.3 rebounds per game.
