KFC and Taco Bell's delivery service will soon be available nationwide. According to Business Insider, the companies have established a deal with Grubhub, to the tune of $200 million, which will serve as the delivery partner for thousands of locations across the nation. Currently, Taco Bell and KFC are only offering their delivery service to a select few cities, including Louisville, Omaha and Indianapolis.
Yum Brands, the parent company of Grubhub, announced their partnership with Taco Bell and KFC just yesterday in a press release, and have outlined how the company will increase sales for the joint fast-food chain through their mobile app option.
Greg Creed, the Chief Executive Officer of Yum Brands, declares how the company is "committed to making our iconic brands easier to access through online ordering for pickup and delivery, and aggressively pursuing delivery as a strategic global growth opportunity, with nearly half of our 45,000 restaurants already offering it today."
Furthermore, Creed reveals that "we’re pleased to secure this partnership with Grubhub in order to drive incremental, profitable growth for our U.S. franchisees over the long term. Our partnership and strategic investment in Grubhub demonstrate our laser-like focus on two of our growth drivers: Distinctive, Relevant & Easy Brands and Unmatched Franchise Operating Capability."
Business Insider notes how Taco Bell and KFC will be rolling out this newly-invested delivery service in the upcoming months. Now, customers can choose not to leave the comfort of their own homes to indulge in some greasy goodness.
