Looking to perfect the sound on his sophomore album, Big Sean has pushed back Hall Of Fame: Memoirs Of A Detroit Player, and now in a recent interview says that fans can expect new music soon. In addition to saying a new single will be dropping this month, he lists some of the features including Kid Cudi and Nas. The Detroit rapper also says the possibility of an Eminem collabo might still happen.
When asked about the time frame for the release of the album, the G.O.O.D. Music rapper says the project is nearly completed, “It’s almost done man, finally, we took our time with it, perfected it, got great songs on it. We still putting the finishing touches on it. But you guys, expect new music this month, ya’ll gonna get new stuff.”
Elaborating on the “new stuff,” Sean would not name the title of the next single, but did say it would be dropping sometime in February, “Can’t tell you that [single title]...next single’s coming though. Probably gonna put it out this month.”
Discussing some of the features on the LP, Sean lists some heavy hitters in both the rap and R&B game, “We got Miguel on there, we got Jhene Aiko, Kid Cudi, Nas...who else, did I say Common, ya he’s on there...ya know the G.O.O.D. Music fam.”
After hinting at a possible record with Eminem, the Detroit Player says it has not been recorded, but the possibility is still alive, “Not yet, gotta make that happen, that might be the last thing I do, I wanted to make sure my album was completely done before I played it for him. I know awhile ago he reached out.”
